I have a 2000 Mazda B4000 4x4 with the 7 in. wide stock alloy 15 in. rims. I recently bought some 8 in. wide 15 in. alloy wheels to use for snow tires that had been on a Jeep. The offset is exactly 1 in. more than the stock wheels, so the outer edge of the new wheels will be the same as stock and the inside edge will be an inch deeper into the wheel well. Will there be any clearance problems with this width and offset? Thanks.
rj, are you sure the specs are correct on those wheels. I have a set of Mazda 7 in wheels, and the backspacing is 4 5/8". Another inch on the backspacing would be 5 5/8".......? Are these wheels the stock Jeep "Gamblers", with 5 large holes around the center?
It's been a while since I took the measurements, but I was very careful and I am sure that the additional offset is 1 in. more than on my stock wheels, so 5 and 5/8 sounds right. I am not sure if the wheels were stock on the Jeep. The wheels are out in storage, but I believe there are five large holes around the center and rivets out near the lip. The wheels were made by ARE (American Racing Equipment?) Thanks
