Are there detailed schematics for these trucks? I have the huge service manuals but they don't have any schematics. They'll refer to connector #XXX, Wire XXX but there isn't a schematic to see what it doing and where it is.
Are they available? I have a '97 Explorer XLT

 

You need the 1997 Ford Explorer electrical and vacuum troubleshooting manual. It's
about 200 pages of directions and diagrams for fixing electrical problems..When you understand how a circuit works it's much easier to fix it.

 

Yes! I have found that book, I don't know how I missed it when I was looking for the service manuals. Anyway, I found a copy and have it coming, thanks.
