Rear Drivers Side Door Cables?

1994 E-150. I'm usually pretty good at hunting parts down online, but I cant for the life of me find replacement cables for the rear driver side door. I need both, top and bottom. Do they even sell just the cables or do you need to buy the latches also???

Those cables should be Ford p/n 6C2Z-1543286-AA (upper), lower shows its part of the door latch/control, p/n 8C2Z-15431A03 A. To my knowledge the lower cable would not be available separately from Ford.

However this company: http://http://makohose.com/ once upon a time would make these cables from high quality parts and fittings---they might be worth a try today.

HTH and please let us know what you discover or eventually do to fix this.

Parts catalog pic shows that 6C2Z-1543286-AA (replaced F2UZ-1543286-A) is the latch that includes the cable.

8C2Z-15431A03-A (replaced F2UZ-15431A03-A) is the latch that includes the cable.

Yea...It doesnt appear that the upper cable is old separately from the latch. You cant get the end of teh cable out of the latch unless you take it all apart, and its rivited together pretty much. New latch/cable assembly is about $75. But I did find a fix for it, an end that twists into the latch, for $38. Which for what it is, 4 small peices of aluminum is alot, but it saves me $40.

New upper latch/cable is cheaper than $75.00 as you can see. 'Course, some dealers "mark up" the price.

6C2Z-1543286-AA (replaced F2UZ-1543286-A) .. Latch & Cable Assy / Available from Ford.

MSRP each: $61.90 / Dealer net cost: $37.14.

8C2Z-15431A03-A (replaced F2UZ-15431A03-A) .. Latch & Cable Assy / Available from Ford.

MSRP each: $103.92 / Dealer net cost: $62.35.
