Rear bumper install?
Hey guys just got new oem used bumper brackets and do not have any hardware. Anyone know how many bolts I need and what sizes? I have 4 brackets. Is there only 1 bolt on the frame? And 1 bolt holding the 2 brackets together? Any help and pictures? Thanks Kyle

I did my bumper a few months ago, the bolt head size is 3/4 of an inch.



Youll need 4, i recommend stainless

I would not use stainless, its not as strong as steel for shearing and if you don't use anti seize it will corrode fast due to electrolysis

Good point, I dont have a bumper hitch, wasnt even thinking about it.

Look at all that rust, man poor trucks up north, beautiful places but that salt is killer.

I know... you need a tetanus shot just to look at my truck... all the added rust makes it more fun to work on... trust me, my excursion has it bad too, cant stop it

The problem is that if I were to buy a truck from Nevada, and have it shipped up here, and drive it in the winter, it would rust within a year. I have yet to see any brand of car or truck conquer this issue.

Where does the longer bracket bolt too on the bumper? I already have the smaller bracket bolted up to the inside of the bumper?

I worked on food equipment and saw lots of rust on stainless over the years


yes they don't rust through fast but they do pick up iron and then start to rust slowly with high iron content water like in NYC
