Is the e-locker available on trucks that have manual locking hubs? If so, is the on-off control still operated by a **** in the same location as the esof ****?
Tip : always take a look at your hubs and confirm there in the Correct Postion "Free" or "Auto" whether you have the full manual or the auto manual. Over the years I've had curious people turn one **** , maybe kids whatever but had mysteriously one **** turned more than once . so I recommend when you detail your truck, check the air in tires or check oil take a look at the hubs. If you notice you'll see people driving down the freeway turning all that extra gear in the front for no reason.
Chances are they don't know or don't care or are just lazy. And the comment about miscreants? I quote the Vice President of the United States "Just go out on your balcony and fire a couple of rounds from a 12 gauge into the air" I am still waiting for balconies to be mandated and wondering how the fellow I just read about who did just that when someone was breaking into his house. He got arrested, the thieves got away.

Yes it is - in fact, its available on 2WD trucks as well. My current truck has manual hubs and manual 4x4 shift, and I have the e-locker. It is the same **** / location as the ESOF ****, but you turn the **** instead of pull it out.

What is it with vice presidents and shotguns? Dick Cheney was pretty good with one, too
I laud Joe Biden's apparent belief in the right to bear arms, as opposed to his superior's views.

I like Cheney but don't think that was his best day. And Biden was actually opposing the "black scary looking firearms" and saying that shotguns were all we need or should be allowed to own. So I will give Smilin' Joe about a 1/4 pass.

Such a dumb argument about the AR 15. So it fires in semi-auto mode...just like a pistol. I'll take 2, please.
You may be able to Live Free of Die. But I realize that you are being invaded by, as a close relative in Portsmouth described herself "Coastal Urban Progressive Democrats." Aren't Greece, Portugal, Spain, France all coastal as well? And a shooting in Germany yesterday? Free of firearms? Here in NY we have a better opportunity to die because we are not free. Regulated on everything. It surprises me we are allowed to buy a Super Duty. Carries and tows too much weight. Maybe it should be limited to only half the rated weight. Safer that way because NONE of us are responsible. And government mandated automatic hubs but you can only lock one at a time. (Had to bring the thread back or be chastised for hijacking). Enough rant. I get there too easily.

Our beloved governor in the live free or die state supports gun control. However, our current senator ayotte does not...coincidentally she drives a super duty for her husbands plowing business in the winter.
I'm happy to see the photo above that shows the auto and manual on the hubs. In the attached video the Ford representative obviously didn't know what he was talking about.
Strange that on page 212 of the 2017 Super Duty Owner's Manual, it says for manual hubs (Lock and Free type) not to shift into 4x4 at speeds over 3 mph! What????? No shift into 4x4 on the fly with the hubs locked in? Why not? Manual Shift on Stop (MSOS) how lame. Big disappointment.

Unless you are hard sold on the manual floor shifter, pick up the ESOF for $150 and have the auto lock at the flip of a switch.?

If you read the entire section you will see it recommends under 3 mph to shift into 4wd high and says not to shift to 4wd low unless under 3 mph. Shift to 4L with shift on the fly will not work unless under 3 mph and transmission in neutral. Since the transfer case is not synchronized it can be very difficult to shift to low range without gear grinding. Shifting into 4H can also grind a little off the corners of the gears if one axle is turning at a different speed than the other due to cornering or weight load or wheel slippage. Individuals with experience at gear changes can usually accomplish the shift ok but not always. Those without can make a mess of the transfer case through repeated abuse. Selecting a manual transfer case also means having to manually engage the hubs and if the hubs are not engaged shifting into 4wd is impossible when the vehicle is moving. The manual and operating instructions are always written so the least experienced can successfully operate the vehicle without causing damage.

Like Rasalas points out, that text is there only to prevent possible damage. My current 2016 is manual 4x4 shift. With the hubs already pre engaged, I shift in and out of 4x4 at any speed without issue. Just make sure your front wheels are pointed straight and are spinning at the same speed as the rears. 4x4 will engage at 70mph silently and instantly.
I'm not even sure I want to at this point, I've never owned a manual-hubs vehicle till now, but is it possible to put the automatic hubs on a manual transfer case truck?

Anything's possible, but it would probably be easier to go from the other direction - start with an auto-hub / electric transfer case vehicle; remove the electric transfer case, and install a manual case. Most likely you'd see trouble codes as the electric 4x4 shift system looks for a transfer case module that is no longer there.
The auto / manual hubs rely on vacuum and need an additional vacuum box under the hood, vacuum plumbing lines, and the ECU to command them on or off.
