E-250 van noise
I just bought a E250 van with the 300-6 and c-6 trans.When speed hits about 45mph a groaning noise develops which vibrates the body sheetmetal. It seems to come from the rear. I had the bent driveshaft straightened and rebalanced, new u joints installed and changed out the tires one by one looking for broken cords etc. The noise continues. Any clues as to cause or cure? Thanks in advance. Lefty

The only thing I can think of is there may be a problem with the rear end, check your axel fluid level; the bearings might be worn out.
Well it could be the transmission, but I don’t know what would make that noise.
