Ufvj yeah I liked it better without the flares too but it was throwing to much mud and rocks on the paint (I live on a dirt road)
RainDesert no I'm not running spacers. These wheels are from an 04' SD so they have different offset. I need one more for my spare but they are difficult to find. I guess Ford didn't make many 18" wheels in 04'
Maybe one day I'll go wider but it will be a few years before I put the 10" lift on 😜 I appreciate the feedback guys!!!
Oh nice. Your wheels looked as if they had a lot more negative offset than the factory for your model. I have not seen 18's from an '04 before, just 16/17's. Those on your truck probably have a +6mm offset. I don't like the rocks/grime that I get now with my zero offset wheels. I have considered a flare like yours or maybe another new wheel. It is really hard to find a simple wheel in a +20mm range, that is where I want to be.

I wish i had got the truck with the XLT premium package becasue most of the stuff i bought for the truck would have been included in the package. but mine came with the heavy duty altenator, roof lights, running boards, and bedliner. but this was what was on the lot. and was the difference of about $5,000. it doesent have the electronic locking axle either but that wasnt too big of a deal.
I hate to rub it in, but that E-locking rear is amazing. If you do any off roading at all it will just blow your mind what a difference it makes. I won't have another 4x4 without it
I keep coming back to this thread to look at this picture. I like the stance a lot.
My '04 had the plow prep package, the camper package, and 4" F350 blocks which made it sit pretty high. Without those packages the '16 sits about 2" lower, and on top of that the bigger wheels fill out the wheel wells better, it just looks too low to me. That lift you've got makes the truck look like what I think it should look like stock.
I've been mulling it over, but this pic convinced me. I'm going to go ahead and do the readylift sst stage 3 and the track bar soon.
I would like to get some mud terrain tires, but I might wait for that. I don't know.
I totally agree with you that is a great stance. Quit thinking about it and just do it. These trucks deserve to look as badass as they really are! It's amazing how much tougher they look with just a slight lift and bigger tires
