what is the difference?
I hear people refer to trucks as extended cab and supercab I even recall once hearing a truck referred to as king cab.
I used to have a 1995 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 that had the bench seat in the rear of the cab. super cab, extended cab, king cab
since I live in arizona and it is rather hot this year, if I drove through a car wash would I get steamed cab legs? hmm anyway...
just wondering what the proper terminology was...
I am trying to purchase a 1996 Ford F150 XL 4x4 as I sure miss that truck.

Many of those names are likely trademarked by various companies. I'm quite sure that "king cab" is a Nissan/Datsun name. To avoid trademark problems, all the truck makers had to use different names for the same thing.
