inline six performance
i am looking for (any) to enhance my 1989 i6 f-150 i have put a flowmaster my buddy gave me on and it seemed to help on puttind a little more umph but i would like more and not break my bugdet. also would like specs on my truck or where to get it

how much is your budget? personally, id go try to find a set of headers, around 136 bucks at summit. then search out a cam (110) and a chip to correct any issues the computer has with that (250ish i think, check motorhaven for that). also do a 19lb injector swap (injectors easily salvaged at the yard off almost any 302). but for now, just stick with the exhaust, scratch the cats if you can, thats the easiest way to do it, and start saving for bigger mods down the road.

$2000 dollar budget. Get the heads milled and ported install larger 1.94/1.60 valves, headers, larger (19lbs) injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, aftermarket igniton (msd), add some larger gears in the rear 3.73/4.10, shift kit if its an auto, go have it dyno tuned and let them burn you a chip, or give specs to a reputable chip company and try that way out and see if it makes a difference it would be somewhat cheaper but not neccessarily get you every bit of hp/tq out of your motor. If you do the installation/removal process and look around for the best parts for the buck this should fit well within your budget and you should have a truck that will move on down the road fairly well.
