Cruise Control Installation
Finally got the guts to go test my cruise control today.
It works!!!
I was a little worried that it would engage but not shut off. But it works just fine.
Anyway, I thought some might be interested in the install. I used a system from an 85 F150 (that's the one with resume). That ran through a 79 tilt column (the horn/cruise insert fits from 85 into the 79 tilt wheel). The whole thing is in a 67 F100.
The 67 has the brake light switch on the end of the MC rod and that is good. Other years will need to use the switch from the cruise donor as most are on a pedal bracket.
Anyway, here's a wiring diagram of the install. It's all tested and does work! Click to enlarge:
