Engine is almost ready

It is taking to long, but I am beginning to feel like I am making progress.

302 bored .040 with 10.4 compression. Cast 58cc heads with 1.94/1.50 valves. Roller tip rockers. moly push rods, guide plates and double springs. 525/290 cam. Single plane high rise w/750 Holley. Mallory ignition and 35 year old Casler headers. Balanced as well.

Hooking it up to and AOD with a TCI control valve and 10" convertor. 9" rear with 4.56 Tracloc.

Now for body work and paint.

I had this carb on a previous build with an old Edelbrock F4B intake. It works just fine. I use a 5.5 power valve and a #31 nozzle on the accelerator pump with the lightest vacuum secondary spring they had. Throttle response was great and the engine should make a lot of RPM.

Single plane intake, 750 cfm carb, 4.56 gears.... I say there's some high RPM events planned for this rig...

I just want it to go when I want to go. With the overdrive I should still be around 2800 at 70 mph.
