CMP location

Alright, I have a 1995 F350 with the 7.3 DIT. I had a no start problem and got a P0340 code. I have the new CMP but ...ahhh (yeah this sounds really sad) where the heck is it located on the motor? OH and while I'm at it couldn't they have made the sensor a little more impressive to go along with the $140.00 price tag?! Thanks for the help.

I believe it's on the front of the block on the pass side. Also I think you have to get to it from the bottom. I can't find mine either looking from the top. (It's not bad I was just looking in case it went out)

You do have to access it from the underside on the pass. side. Look for the part of the bracket that sticks out. The AC compressor prevents you from accessing it from the top.

Thanks I found it yesterday morning. It's about the 7:00 position on the front cover just to the left of the waterpump pulley. I couldn't access it from underneath though. I wouond up removing the fan clutch assembly first and then changin out the sensor from the top. Truck runs awesome now!!!!
