I have a 2000 Ford F-350 7.3 and I can't get rid of an error code po683. I have changed the Gpcm and the solenoid. I have checked the wire harness and had a burnt out plug that went to the glow plugs and replaced that. Now I am lost. I can't smog my truck. Had to be smoked in March now it's may. Can someone please help!!!!
What does the other side of the connector look like where the burnt pin was?
The gasket was fried so that is what I replaced. The connector was burnt so I cleaned that up. I toned it and it was running all the way thru. What ohms should I get on it.

Are you talking about the valve cover gasket? The P0683 code is a PCM to GPCM communication error not a glow plug code, IIRC.
Looking at the connector the order of pins is
GGIICIIGG
G - Glow Plug
I - Injector +
C - Injector -
Ohms between the G and block Ground should be 0.1 - 2.0 ohms. Anything more than 2 ohms indicates a problem.
Looks like you could use the wire diagram in the following link and check them all the way from the GPCM to the plug to look for a problem with the wires
The instructions in QB12 say to have the PCM disconnected. I would start by using the wiring diagram in the first link I posted and check for broken / damaged wires. If none found then use the second link I posted and check for voltages.
