I have a 1970 F-250 Camper Special w/360 engine, 4-speed granny low T-18. I bought the truck new from a dealer in Michigan. The truck hauled a camper for the first 25 years of it's life. Is been retired ever since and has been driven very little since. It is a little worn and tired, and needs to be freshened up.
It still runs, but the clutch need replacement, the front end needs work, and the tires are still the tubeless 9.50/16.5 with non-safety rims
The truck was Grabber Blue when new, but has since faded to a dull blue.
Guess it's one of those "some day" projects.
Another reason I finally joined the forum, is that my grandson recently purchased a 1988 F-150 that was a farm truck. It hasn't had a lot of maintenance and he needs help. I find that I can't help with some of the later stuff, like FI and computer related problems. So I'll probably asking for more help on his truck than mine.
I'll also try to share the things I've learned about the '70 over the years.
