Pulse Width Modulation Blower Fan Control

Has anyone upgraded their bullnose blower fan control from resistor to PWM control? I couldn't find anything when I searched the forums. There are 12v PWM fan controllers for under 10 dollars now and I wouldn't mind having infinite fan speed settings. Anyone ever consider this and identify any pros or cons?

It turns me off to those things when they fail on the new cars and they cost several hundred dollars to replace. While my resistor control seems to run forever.

You are right other then my 02 Durango as I have replace 2 already.

If you're going that route strictly for convenience (and don't have any power draw issues) get one rated for 30 amps but keep the fan fused at factory specs. The components are more robust and for the minimal extra cost, overkill is preferable.
