First let me say thanks to this forum... it has helped me many, many times. I have never posted but have spent 100's of hours reading posts. I appreciate the ppl who give their time to upload PDFs, spreadsheets and help others. Its an amazing thing. Here is my situation. I have a early build 2003 f350 6.0. It will not start. Readings are good. ficm 48 to 48.5, synced, icp volts .30, icp climbs above 1200 psi, bat 13 to 13.5, ipr 14.8 to 40, fuel pressure 82 psi during crank..... will not start. It is driving me nuts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last week tore it down and replaced the tube of the hpop, found a leak in map hose and cleaned the turbo (vanes, ring). Ran ok for a week... shut it off and my sons baseball practice and will not start.... towed it back 2 days ago and nothing..... just cranks... any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Im at a loss. Another question would be where do i air test the hpo system on this truck.... ICP and IPR are in the back of the motor and hard to get to. I have read there is a way to do it under the valve covers.... not sure. Thanks Guys.
MAP is @ 14.0
BAR is @ 14.0
Was hard to start all last week and was vibrating in low rpms while driving 40-50 mph. Checked FPW and it was at like 2000 i think... while cranking. Thanks agin.
Your readings look good. If your getting FICM sync, that's good. Check the FICM relay, swap it with one of the others right next to it, they are the same.
Thanks for the response. Ficm sync is 1. Rpm 'so 350.... Highest. Ficm logic power is anywhere from 10.5 volts to 11.6.... Is that right? Will swap relay later today when I get home.... Thanks
Hi Randy, yes the ice voltage raises when truck is turning over(trying to start)... I checked fpw fuel pulse width.... It was 2000 plus while cranking. Is the Ficm logic voltage to low? 10.5 to 11.5 volts. Could it be my batteries.... Engine seems to turn over fine.... Frustrating dam thing..... How was the flight.... That's a long one.... Thanks
Not sure if this will help. I have an 03 F350 6.0
Last week it quit on the road and would not even crank.
Turned out the EBP sensor connector was crushed and shorted resulting in a "No Crank" and the fuel pump took a dump.
Suppose I'm just that lucky. Should have bought a lottery ticket.
Did you check yet for crank/cam sync? It will start out reading 0 or no then while cranking it should change to 1 or yes. If you have no sync it will not start.
Check the VRef, should be 5v to all sensors. Check one and see what it is. Could be a short and the sensors are not getting voltage to return the reading to the PCM.
