After rebuilding my fuel bowl I lost the regulator return spring. Is this a standard spring I can find at a hardware store or will I have to special order it? The only thing I found online was a BDS spring for increased fuel pressure for $20. I'd much rather find something in town that I can get tomorrow, but NAPA and autozone don't show anything online. I haven't checked the stealership yet, but will. Does anyone know a part number? Thanks!
They are special manufactured for the Fuel System. They compress and expand several million times over their lifespan. There are several different (color coded) for varying pressures.
Several site supported such as diesel O-rings and others supply them.
Sold my boat for that reason. Its not a ton of money, but I just graduated so things are tight. If that's the best I can find its cheaper than having the truck sit.
I found the spring today and have everything back together. I'll probably order the new regulator anyway as I have a compression fitting on there now and will switch to the proper connector at the same time
