picked up the parts to fix moms car... cleaned & rainx'd the windows on the mustang incase it rains cuz im gonna drive it some now... then test fitted the sway bar mount bushings on the truck... fit snug as a bug in a plush rug...

Got all the parts today to hopefully fix the 87. Still don't know why the 460 bent 2 pushrods.

Mystery.Both push rods on #3 cylinder. Rockers still torqued to specs. Spark plug ok and cylinder hold air.

yes they are. A guy on FTE mentioned that it happens with the 460 engine. Push rods bend, lifter pops out of bore and oil pressure drops to zip.

i know with GM's that have the hydraulic lifters when they tend to bend rods is due to the hydraulic lifters not pumping up properly at start up... the rods will get out of position and when the cam comes back around BAM lifter slams into it as if it was a solid lifter and bend rod... not saying is what happened with yours but could be a possibility...

I don't know if I over revved it trying to avoid a collision with a semi while merging on to I81

that can do it too.. lol... i swear semi drivers here in VA are getting worse.. right along with everyone else... police really need to start cracking down on the distracted driving... i was almost hit 4 seperate times not this monday but the previous one.. and several times since then... getting kind of tired of it....
