Modifying the stock wheels

Just wondering if anybody has done, or has seen any pictures of people custom painting the stock wheels on the SD's. I have the 2006 18" Lariat wheels and have an all black truck. Wondering what it would look like with the inner trim black or something like that. I don't want to paint the whole things black. New wheels are not currently in the budget so trying to dress them up tastefully if I can.
Thanks!

I don't have specific knowledge about your question, but just wanted to throw this out there. If you paint it, maybe start off with plasti-dip instead. It's removable if you want to go back to stock for any reason. It's fairly durable as well. I used it to paint the panel behind my rear wheels for the winter to keep the cinders and sand they use around here in the winter from doing any damage. I just peeled it off this past weekend after it being on for about 6 months. Fully intact and took 5 minutes to peel off. Just an option to consider.

normal paint. hard part, design, then masking... my opinion masking is the HARDEST Part... Circles is the hardest.. lease little out of round.. shows up big time.

not done SD yet... but have done cars and motorcycles.
