I think my thermostat is stuck open. It wont go past the N on normal. So I'm goin to replace it and the housing. But which one do I get. I saw on riff raff's sight they have a 180* and then there is the 203*. I've read some on the 203* stat and it sounds convincing but what is with the 180*? It's lower than stock, how does that benefit? Some enlightenment is needed. Thanks fellas.
Makes sense. My truck very rarely goes past the O even when it is 110* outside. So I think the 203 will be fine. After I take care of the dang dipstick leak then that's the next thing. Just glad I got the 1990 lumina to roll back and forth to work
Honestly, I wouldn't get too wrapped up about it not going past the N. That is about where mine runs as well. Turn the heater on if it blows hot you are probably good. If it doesn't move the gauge at all I might be concerned. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Or throw a cheap analog gauge on it an get a true number

I've been thinking about the gauge. Maybe I will do that first. I take back what I stated earleir about goin past the O. In warmer weather it runs at the R or slightly past. And it was 80* the other day and it didn't go past the N.
