Rough start

Ok, when i start my truck the whole thing kicks and bucks and the whole truck shakes as if you hit a 5 inch pot hole at 50 mph but it only happens for about 3 to 4 seconds after i start it and after that it runs perfect. Plese help i dont know what is wrong

have you been able to locate where its coming from aka is it the engine or what?

I think its the engine because it shakes the whole truck on start up

wow i have no idea the only thing i can think of is that the engine might be reving to high and it causes the car to shake does it sound somewhat "normal" or is it like a harsh shakey tone

Rough start

It sounds harsh but not loud and the engine idles at 1000 rpm since i took my muffler off but it eventually will idle at 700-800 rpm

does it sound like its miss firing horribly?

The only thing i could think of is some sort of a really bad miss fire or back fire...

thats really weird!

Rough start

It could be missing but i know it isnt back firing because there is no really loud noise. I am going to run some fuel injecter cleaner through it and i will do a tune up on it soon
