I have a threaded whole below my headers Above where the stater on the engine block) on the passenger side of my 1973 302 stock motor
Wanting to know what its for & should it have a plug it in?
What thread is it? trying to get this old lady running
SAE, Metric, NPT, Hmmmmmmmm
Need to Figure this out, frustrating…lol
73 would be carbed Ross, no O2 sensors there. There are some dead end holes in the block that are not used in all applications. Run a piece of wire in the hole and see where it goes.
Unless it is plugging something it is most likely a normal thread maybe for a ground. Take a pic close up and far away maybe someone can check on their block to see if they have the same hole. Maybe you can also google some 302 pics?
My fathers 1970 F100 302 had a hole on the passengers side exhaust manifold that a line was plumbed to and ran up to the choke housing to heat the choke.
