Need to purchase a clutch kit for my "85 F150 2WD with a 300/3spd. Truck will be a daily driver, and not haul any extreme weight. What clutch kit should I be looking at?

 

Autozone sells a 10 inch and a 11 inch. I would pull it out and then run down to the store and buy what's in the truck, more than likely a 10 inch.

 

Good question as I am going to replace mine, 81 F100 2WD with a 300/4spd, when I get to putting the truck back together.
I was also looking at using one from a local auto parts store.


I don't remember the size of the disc but would like to go with a 11" if I could as I want to use the truck as a back up to pull my 20' 2 axle car trailer.

The original flywheels in my son's 1984 and my 1986, both with 4.9L and 4 speed manual OD, were drilled for 10" and 11". We upgraded to the 11" units. The swap was easy... you do have to replace the mounting bolts as they are different.
