What brand head gaskets do you guys use

Long story short was replacing glow plugs one broke off removed head to get it out got a felpro gasket from the zone put it all back together took a nice easy test drive came back in the coolant reservoir was empty

When I filled it back up it just went straight into the oil pan

Ordered a mahle head gasket set will I have an issue with those

OE as glenn linked above or Cometic...Cometic are only needed if you start pushing big ponies IMO... 3 to 4x expensive depending on thickness. Swamps and many other reputable manufactures carry them.

Something doesn't add up here..were new head bolts used?
These head bolts are torque to yield and must be replaced every time. This deal is not a common deal and I wouldn't doubt fel pro quality tho I would use oe gaskets.

No I did not get new bolts and no they are not torque to yield bolts

I'll be tearing it apart again throughout the week coolant is already flushed from the motor

Personally, I would only use head gaskets from the dealer.... they are much thicker than the aftermarket ones I have seen. I agree with Aaron on using new head bolts. My guy at the dealership told me that they are not to be re-used. I also purchased them from the dealer. Much cheaper than Advance auto.
