I just joined this forum after spending much of the day reading. you guys all seem helpful and im hoping that with an account, being able to communicate with you will help me in the future.

a little about me, im 28, i live in maine, and there are 6 ford trucks here in my yard. my boyfriend has 2 full size trucks and one ranger, while i own 2 rangers and a bronco II. Ive been driving my 98 Ranger 4x4 4.0 for the past 6 years, and i recently purchased an 87 Bronco II 2wd 2.9 that came from texas. previous owner never drove it in the snow and the body/frame on this is flawless! paint is old though an im planning on having it painted this fall when i park it. This is my new baby! im still trying to work out the quirks in it since its obviously been worked on and somewhat hobbled together under the hood..i have many "spare parts" that arent connected to anything, wires with loose ends to nowhere, plugs without mates...ahhh its a little intimidating to look at! but it runs good so far, ive only had a couple minor almost stalling episodes while pulling out of parking lots. seems like typical BII issues from what i read.

Im slowly gaining more mechanical knowledge as things have needed replacement over the years, i try to just research and fix it myself once i understand what needs to be done. i work as a service writer at a shop also so, i get to watch some things that help with learning.
