Decals

Going to remove my sport decals and replace with some carbon fx4 ones. What is the bet adhesive remover to use? Want to apply and get off and not have to rub a lot and risk any surface scratching. Thanks

I just pealed them off. Lift a corner with your fingernail, and slowly pull them off.

I use goof off for any residue that I cannot remove by hand.

There was no. noticeable residue when I did mine. I did go over the area with a little liquid wax/polish though.

I always use WD-40 and then a good paste wax behind that, or some auto clay. (may just need the wax)

Leave the truck out in the sun for a few hours first. The warmth will make the removal easier/cleaner. I pulled my FX4 decals with zero residue left behind.

Definitely wax the area when you're done.

Don't wax if you are putting new ones on. Word of warning. Almost all aftermarket decals are on transfer paper and the design is cut out of the decal base. This leaves a whole lot more edge area for the decal to peel from. Also, many aftermarket decals will begin to fade within a year or so and then they start to dry out and shrivel or crack.

Is that caribou? We really liked that color, but we could not get it in the sport trim when we were shopping.
