I am off the pavement often enough and I have the plain 'ol 4x4 package. I just keep an eye on what I'm doing. I turned off my brain by accident early in 2014 and buried the left side past my running board in a ditch and didn't break anything. It's not like I'm taking it to Moab though. If I were to order, I would get the skid plate option Ford offers now and still only get the 4x4 package.

Even with the FX4 package you probably would have buried it.

I'm not a fan of the platinum running boards either... Not sure I will be a fan of the power ones, gotta see how those work. Too much crap on the regular roads here.

The stickers were the first thing I pulled off, the very next day. Different strokes for different folks. I had painted bumpers on a truck once, never again. After about five years it turn to black pits. Good Luck in what ever you do.

Use a hair dryer or a heat gun (be careful with a heat gun to not scorch the paint). With a little patience it is not hard to do. Apply heat to the sticker to soften up the glue and start peeling away. Use simple green to help remove any remaining glue residue. Once you start you are committed to finish.

I did that on my current truck after I had it just 2 weeks. I wanted to get rid of stickers before any paint fading later in time.

I have the black KR with black interior and dark brown seats and it's the best interior I've ever had. The light tan was horrible for keeping clean and fresh looking.
LOL! Yes, I suppose I could - or just take the orange 4X4 sticker off.

So, I don't think I've seen the interior you describe - there's no yellow anywhere in yours? Even the ones that the sticker says is black leather, have yellow parts and seat belts - from what I can tell.

ETA - is this yours?

The KR interior looks sharp in person. I just test drove a 2016 F-150 this morning & a F-350 6.7 LB Platinum. Now i just have to decide which on i want to go with. : Trading out of my 2013 F-150 Ecoboost Platinum because of a radio issue. Man i shouldn't have tested the F-350. Good luck with your truck & search for a new one.

Go for the F350! As expensive as the 150's are, you might as well. Although you did say Platinum.........

Well I'm just waiting for my sales guy to send me the quote on the F-350 to compare the two. They come out pretty close form what I've figured because of what their offering me for my trade and all the rebate on the Super Duty's right now. I shouldn't have test drove the F-350. I think the diesel bug bit me.

That is how I ended up in my 2012.... Then the 2015.....

When are you going to test drive the 2017?

Everytime I think about getting an F150, once I do the price comparison I stick with the dissel F350.

That is so TRUE.
I took my first test drive on Sunday in a 2016 6.7L F250. I am hooked!

My current ride has not even had it's 3rd oil change, a 2015 Toyota Tacoma, but I have mentally started the 'it has to go thoughts'. I should not of got in that truck and taken a test drive. It is hard to get rid of a vehicle that is proven reliable, and has a solid record for low maintenance costs. Just add gas, change oil, and you don't have to worry about anything else. The 6.7L horror stories are almost enough to scare one away. Just let me retreat back into my rabbit hole, and forget that the test drive ever did happen. However, I need more pulling power within the year, and there is no reason to make a temporary stop with a 150.

The F250, was very quiet and had a smooth ride, easily hitting 80 on the freeway with it feeling like 60. I was concerned about ride quality with the solid axle front end on the 4x4, but it was as smooth as my Tacoma. MPG seems that it will be close to the same between the Tacoma and the 6.7L. Even better MPG with the 6.7L pulling my 4,000lb boat. Tacoma does pull the boat very well but MPG falls through the floor. Goal is to get a TT that is beyond the Tacoma capabilities.

My overall Tacoma MPG from day 1 is running at 18.8 mpg. It should climb close to 19.0 mpg by the end of summer grade fuel season. Difference between the Tacoma and the 6.7L it should be within 1-2 mpg.

Now it is just down to timing. How fantastic of a deal the sales people will be willing to give me to entice the sale? It is great looking at a vehicle purchase when you have time on your side.

Find the trailer of your dreams...then buy the truck to match it.
