JRob, what engine and trans does the 70 have, a 390 auto? I think I will get two so I can build a crew just like mine, the same way the Ontario factory did it, cutting and combining existing parts. I will have to pick up the 78-79 Dent Superstones kit for the front axle.

Looks like the box sides of the 69 and 70 says straight 6. I too am curious about the trannys.
The trick would be to also customize the tail gates like Randle's.

I should have looked closer on that one. It might be kinda tough to measure the stroke on these, and the 71's FE. Haha

The 71 has a 390 with what seems to be just a c4 is my guess. This is my first time doing this and I'm already having a blast thinking about the build. I did buy two of the 70's and two of the 71s one to bulid one to collect. Im having troubles finding another 69 :/.My first though was to use the 390 in the 70 short bed and make my real life truck(I'll have to figure out the grill situation, need one of ganstars grill). But now I'm thinking about doing a chop top body drop and shorting the frame and long bed. Not sure right now I'm just going to practice on the extra sprue pieces cutting and putting them back together, sanding, painting. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and I want these models to look good when I'm done. I thought about that tailgate jeff and im searching for other ideas on the forum.

Yeah price wise it's way cheaper lol. I still haven't spent what it would cost for a new intake.

I wouldn't mind a couple of those. Only issue I have is that the pickings are slim for dentside models.

Who knows if the sales of these take off they might make some dentsides in the future.

Here's hoping! There are a couple kits you can buy, but very few 4x4s.

I received the 1971 kit for Christmas. Just opened the box and looked it over and put it back for a while. Waiting for some paint before I start assembling the model.

I think you got something there. Not so much of a competition but rather to show off and compare your color choices, stock or modded, etc.

My paint plan is to use some paint I am having mixed up ... It will be in spray and liquid.... that will match up with my colors for the 71, boxwood green and seafoam green.
