Would I need that conversion harness pigtail set for an 05 Ex? Or is that just for the 00-04's?

From the posted link: We have upgraded our pigtails to ceramic high temperature 9008 (H13) plugs. This pigtail will convert your 99-04 9007 headlight wiring to 9008/H13 so you can install 05-07 headlights.

I got my hands on just a normal OEM set of '05 headlights. I cheated and opened them up and painted the bezel inside so I can pass them as harley lights.

I can just make out the word "eyes" on one of the lights in the Ebay auction. So probably eagle eyes. I had a set of their lights on my SVT Focus. They looked OK, but the plastic was brittle and was starting to crack all over. However for the price, you could buy 4 or 5 sets and replace them every few years.

I bought a set of chinese Eagle Eyes versions for my truck, although I got the non black version. Also had a set of Lightning style lights on my old Expedition. Sure they are not OEM quality but I never had a problem. Besides 05Mil makes a good point, you can buy like 4 sets over a long period of time if the lights exhibit any kind of issue.
