I will be in the market for an f150 before long, and I have been trying to find parts for the truck so I know what is available. Thing is, I have seen no manufacturer who makes long tubes for these trucks. I have seen some really high dollar long tubes for the lightnings, but I was really leaning toward the 4.6. Will the 4.6 long tubes from a mustang fit? Has anyone tried this? I know JBA makes shorties, and I am really impressed with the quality and fit of the JBA's on my Ranger, but I really like the idea of long tubes. Hit me with your best shots .
I'm not sure if MAC has headers for them or not. Check macperformance.com and see what they offer. I bought a set of headers from them for my 5.0 Mustang years ago. They have never blown a gasket(even though the bolts have worked loose a couple of times) because they make a quality product. My headers are nickle plated and turned a little blue but have never rusted. I don't know if they still offer the nickle plating anymore.

I have heard someone mention JDM/Kooks, someone had them on a 4.6 or 5.4L Triton engine in a '97+ F150, they were ceramic coated long tubes. I have no idea where a guy could get any more info on these. All the other brands I've seen have been shorties.
Yes, the JDM/Kooks were the high dollar long tubes for the Lightning that I was refering to. The problem there is that the 5.4 deck height is almost 1.5" taller than a 4.6. The tubes for a 5.4 would be too low mounted on a 4.6.
