Spare Tire Winch

Has anybody here installed a spare tire winch from a newer model truck?

I currently have a lockable slide out spare tire carrier with dual tanks. I also have an extra slide out carrier. I have modified my carrier to fit a 33" tire but it seems like if I used a newer style winch it would be cleaner and lighter.

The problem I see with doing it is most of the trucks with a tire winch do not have a fuel tank right above the tire. Consider trucks up to 96/97 hd that have the bolt on carrier bracket but no winch. Without a fuel tank you can easily fit a brace or crossmember of some sort to support the weight of the tire and mount the winch. So I want to see what if anything has been done with a fuel tank above it.

Looking for people to share any photos of a successful modification.
