I have a 1980 f150 4x4 swb and both of my leaf springs are shot. I found some cheap replacements from a 98 f150 but I want to make sure they will work before I get them. As long as it's a swb as well will it fit? Thanks in advance
For a start I can not say if they will or not work but I don't think a LWB or SWB has anything to do with working or not.
I say this as I have 2 81 f100's 1 a SWB the other a LWB and a quick look they are the same.
I would measure how wide the springs are and from the center bolt to the front and to the rear eye bolts.
Then check if the F&R eye bolts are the same size between the 2.

I can't answer the question, Grizzdaboss, but I've put up information on my web site that should help you answer your own question.
First, you need to read this page on how to find a rear spring part #: Rear Springs - Gary's Garagemahal. Don't miss that there are three ways. Hopefully you can find the # on your springs and use #1. But, if not I've put up another page on the 1980 rear springs here: 1980 Rear Springs - Gary's Garagemahal. If you can find your spring's part # there you can use that to find the size in the size chart on the first page. Or, you can order a new one using that #.
Note that I have formatting problems on both of these pages, but will fix that later. And, I plan to put the 1981 thru 1986 spring info up soon.
