I have been experiencing some accelerating noise with my ford expedition 2004 and is getting worse. Just got to know that the top vacuum tube is broken can that be the challenge am going through?

Ok thanks for the advice but just as am about to climb or around 80-120 mph there is this irritating sound as you step on the accelerator as if something is about to come out from the drivers side. Its like using an object across a metal fence. It stops the moment you take your foot from the accelerator.
