Duel Shocks?

I was just crawling under my bronco and noticed that there are duel shocks on the front. Is this normal? It looks like a factory installation. I didnt think that any vehicles came from the factory with duel shocks.

Dual shocks was a factory option. It generally came with a towing package. I have dual shocks stock on my 1990.

ok, thanks. I do need new shocks all around cause the ones I have look pretty old. The bushings themselves have around a 3/16" gap between them and the bolt. Hmm, they could be the original motorcraft ones, back end of the truck is almost scary its so soft.

Got the duel shocks on my '96 as well!

That just means it's twice as expensive to put new ones on!

I just put 6 new Rancho RSX's on last weekend and it made a world of difference (mine was getting pretty scary, too).

I also put on a set of Air Lift helper springs in the front and I'm pretty impressed so far. If your front end is sitting lower than than the rear I would highly recommend them.

You don't have to install the on-board air, I just have an air valve on each side of my front license plate and I adjust the pressure with a normal compressor and air gauge.

Air Lift does have an on-board compressor with dual gauges to allow you to adjust front and rear pressure seperately from the driver's seat, but I thought that was overkill since I don't plan on changing the pressure on a daily basis..

I don't know where you were looking but I only paid $268.89 w/shipping for all 6 from 4 Wheel Parts, I think Summit has a similar deal now.
