This is probably the wrong place to Post this question. What is the 3g alternator upgrade I have been hearing a little about? What are the benefits. And what is involved like cost brackets and what alternator is used? I have looked but I am dumb when it comes to finding stuff online. Thanks for the help in advance

Is there a list of vehicles that will 100% have a 135a alternator? I've been at the junkyard lately but didn't want to risk grabbing one and it being a 95amp.

Do you see the blue line with User CP, Albums, FAQ? See the SEARCH on that line?
It has a drop down search menu arrow, go to the "Advanced Search"option, top left side (search block) type in there what you are looking for and then go to the lower right column and highlight 73-79forum. Select it and then you will have a detailed search just in the 73-79 forums.

Don'tget one off a mod motor, completely different mounts.

 

Its one of the best and easiest upgrades you can do. I did mine last year thanks to the info March just posted. Good luck.
