Speaking of Turkey, i remember missing a ferry boat ride from Istanbul to Bandirma, when I had a long wait for the next one.

I got onboard when I mis-understood Turkish and boarded the ferryboat bound for Yalova, TK. Luckily caught a taxi ride to a 1/2 way meeting point for only 84,000,000 lira. (80 Euros) Now they've cut off 6 zeros, so it's closer to real money.
