I have a 2012 supercrew lariat with a 6.5' bed. I don't really like my factory anchor points in the bed. Any recommendations on a certain brand or style? I have a hard top on the bed now so I'm not interested in any that mount on the rails. They have to be located in the bed. Thanks.
Since you have the 6.5 bed, I would suggest Ford's own Cargo Management System, which is based on a set of side rails and sliding cleats, load bars, and bed dividers. Your bed is pre-drilled for the rails.
A little on the expensive size, as the rails are $305, cleats $25 each (at least 4 would be ideal), load bars $110 (street prices).

Do you have a canopy/shell/topper or a hard tonneau/cap/whatever people call them? Is a Bedslide an option? Personally, whether I have a canopy or a tonneau that is what I dream about getting. Right now I have a soft tonneau and accessing the bed even though it is folding would be much nicer with a sliding tray. Plus they have tie downs.
I have a 2016 f150 and i had a similar problem with the factory anchors. Every time i want to ratchet strap something down it was a real pain to hook in to the factory anchors i actually had to bend the hooks to get it in. One of my buddies had these aftermarket anchors that were great, they were bigger and much easier to use and i could use the same bolts to put them on took me ten minutes to swap em out. I got em from www.TuffTiedowns.com
you got me thinking. I have a plastic bed liner and the bed extender.
Going to see about replacing the Torx bolts with some eye bolts and go from there!
