i went to the LS6 forum to get some info on LS5 vs LS6 motors (LS6.com). those people were just plane rude. just goes to show that the fte is the best forum out there.
Carl, I figured you'd have the last small block powered chevy car(4 door sedan) to roam the streets in! Why would anybody buy an SS for all that dough when you can hit a 9C1 up for so cheap?
Some of the goodies are tuned suspension for high speed pursuit, external fan cooled oil and tranny coolers, dual fans on the radiator, monster brakes, HD wheels, 5000 lb towing capacity, big alternator, 160 mph speedo, dual high flow 3" exhaust with H pipe.
Also switches to kill interior lights, no rear seat internal door handles (driver operated solenoids) and some other things Ive forgot.
They make a great sleeper and hiway cruiser, not as hairy as the original LS6 but scares the s..t out of SUV's playing games. A lot more stable than any Chevelle (or my 68 Impala SS396 ragtop) at 120+
Also lots of stuff available, GM and aftermarket to add even more performance.
