I was in a little accident on Friday in my wives 4x4 PSD Excursion. I was in a parking lot crossing through one of the intersections. I stopped started to roll through when I saw a white blur and felt a big hit on the front passenger side of the vehicle.
I got out and saw that this lady had blindly come out of nowhere and ran into me iwith her little white C-class Mercedes Benz. Well to make a long story short the cops came........no ticket issued. She was going about 15 mph.
What happened.......well.....I am getting a new bumber from a dent in the right side of it and I need an alignment since she hit the tire also. All together $336.
Her Mercedes sustained major damage with the front end being smashed in, a hole in your radiator, broken front lights, and pushing her front quarter panels backwards! A couple grand in damage!
THANK GOODNESS for the blocker beam in the front of the truck....that is what saved me from having anymore damage. It is also a good lesson to those driving German cars.....Once again AMERICAN IRON MEETS GERMAN PRECISION!
Might want to have the steering box looked at to after a front end shot. My shop has put a brand new one on after both of my front enders (both not my fault).
My Excursion ran over a Pontiac Grand Am, it hit on the front right corner. If there was a passenger in the Pontiac they would have been dead. This jerk swerved left in front of us and no way to stop.
Totaled the Pontiac, but a Ford Body shop put a new frame under the Excursion, because it bent the frame on both sides and tore it on the right in front of the motor mount.
All seems to be OK, but for the tire bounce.
Remenber Excursions eat all that are small, it's nice to be big on the road!
