I've seen in the past that these are not manufactured any where but wanted to see if that has changed or anyone knows where to access them.
I have mine for my '50 but the pivot pins on the bottom are gone. The previous owner just caulked the vent windows shut and with summer coming up having operable vents is a must.
Is having a metal guy rebuild them the only option. Thanks for any help in advance.
Welcome to the forum! I needed one for mine. I thought I saw some available from one of the vendors but, don't remember for sure. Might be the later years.
The smaller parts and rivets are available from places like Classic Haulers and others. I ended up posting in the classified section of this forum and bought a used vent window complete from another member. Probably your best bet.
I wish it did. One of the only parts thats not highlighted in that image is the vent frame. It is apparently one of the only door parts that is not manufactured.
I bought 2 off ebay for about $50 and rebuilt them. My old set were not complete. I had to use a piece here and there from them to finish the set I purchased. The ones I purchased came off a 51, but worked out just fine for me. I think the glass was around $50 so I have around $100 bucks in them. I could mail you my left over parts if you need them.

Mike,
I found a driver side yesterday so I think between mine and the new (not new) one then I can get a decent one put together.
My passenger side pivot pin snapped off in the removal but the rest of the frame seems to be in decent condition. Any chance you have the lower pieces (spring and pin area).
If so let me know what ya need.
Thanks,
Billy
Heres my project. First time ive ever worked on any vehicle. Own a glass shop so accessing the new glass will be no problem, gonna go from clear to a grey tint laminated. But these mechanical parts are fun/frustrating to cut my teeth on.
Here is a pic of what I have left over. I have enough parts to build one bottom, but I dont have the "T" looking piece that attaches to the vent window then goes down through the frame that the spring and stuff assembles on. I'll clean this stuff up and send it to you if you need it.
Man that old truck looks good Billy. Very nice. I'm working on a 49 f1. I know what you mean about fun and frustrating. I'm learning as I go on a lot of this stuff. Glad FTE is here for the help.

Please drop me an E-Mail if you don't find the parts you need. I have a '51, going to 1 piece windows. Thanks !

Mike,
It looks like I could make something happen with those parts. That lower pin is the key. Let me know what ya need. Thanks ahead of time. I can already see I'm gonna spend way too much time on these forums!

Larry,
Thanks for the reply. If needed I'll definetly get back to you. Just for curriousity sake. What hardware are you using to change out a '51 to full size windows?
