smog pump numbers?????
hey! I'm working on a 1986 f-150 and I'm trying to get it to pass emissions. I have everything except the smog pump because all the local parts stores say i need the part number for the pump i need. I guess they made about three that year for the 4.9L 300cu and since mine doesn't have an old smog pump on it to cross reference, I dont know which one to purchase.......any help???????????

Just yanked the smog pump/bracket/plumbing off my 83 van with the 300-6, probably the same pump you need. Its very low mileage [48k actual] and worked fine [passed emissions here in TN] when removed last week for a swap to an Offy intake.

I'm talking about the parts catalog published by Ford. It is the catalog that Ford dealers use to look up parts for their Parts and Service departments. I don't know of any way you can order it.
