Lowering Advice
I want to lower my 53' F100. Its currently stock suspension wise.
I want to remove a few leafs from the rear springs to soften the ride, and i keep seeing mention of being able to re-drill the leaf mounts at th top of the frame and drop a few inches there. Can i get more details on this method? Do you re-drill both mounts back and front of the leaf springs? I have seen mention of swapping the mounts side to side? is this because of the flat part that curls under the frame?
Also i've seen references to releasing the energy from the spring pack in the correct manner. But have yet to see this procedure outlined anywhere. Could someone please elaborate?
Will be buying Posie springs for the front for the meantime. In the process of refurbishing front and rear Jag subframes but time is running out for this season so they will become projects for next winter.
Cheers,
Jay
If you are putting in Jag suspension why mess with the existing and not just wait to install the "new" stuff?
