I believe that is a gasser, listed as a diesel. Seen that happen before on these supports.

2 possible sources

Www. Car-parts.com

Or lmc truck

Lmc lists one for a diesel to my surprise they also have diesel sending units for tanks.
I ordered the sending unit and was correct. (Tried several used ones always got gassers)
Car-parts site is the recyclers website for junk yard parts. I fould a support in nebraska when i was there i bought it. Shipped it home.

I am gonna look at the lmc truck support also

interesting. that site shows two different part numbers for gas and diesel supports. i wonder if someone finally saw the need and started stamping diesel supports?

Nobody makes an aftermarket diesel core support. Even if they list it as diesel it's not. They want you to "modify" it. The only way to get replacements is to find them in the south and have them shipped up.

IOW, it won't work on a '97, a '96 or any other year diesel. ALL diesel trucks '92-'97 take the taller core support, cooling/AC options notwithstanding. And NOBODY makes one. LMC has been lying about this for years.

As far as I know there are only 2 supports. Gas and diesel. My last truck was a 460 w/ super cooling and I replaced that radiator support with one from a 2wd f150 302 no ac. Someone else might chime in, but I'm pretty sure about this information.

A simple measurement from the top of the support to the bottom will put this to rest. The diesel supports are probably 7 or 8 inches taller than the gas ones

From the bottom of the "loop" yes...from the mounting points on the frame rail no....

I will have more detailed pictures this weekend... I have to cut and extend the lower loop...and trim the side openings back...
