I need to remove my cellular antanna from my F150. Is there a process for doing this? I removed the little cap on the inside part, and apparantly there is a bolt that holds it on?
Does it just stick on? When I removed mine, I just parked it in the sun and slowly peeled it off. Then I used a razor blade to remove the residue. The bolt isn't for the antenna mast?
It's attached with super glue, like the rearview mirror. It uses some kind of induction to get the signal through the glass. (I'm going on what my old one had, I'm not an expert.)
You should be able to get it off by using a razor blade between each side of the antenna mount and the glass. Just don't pry, or the razor blade shatters and the sharp parts hurt.
try a blowdryer, heating it up will help removing it easier and might leave less residue,. i dunno, i had a similar anttena on my truck and the came off pretty easy with a razor and a blow dryer, be carefull not to cut the window though
