Replacing 4.6 with 5.4

I have a 99 f150 with a blown 4.6 triton. Can I replace it with a 5.4 out of a 2001 f150?

Don't you think you'd have better luck at getting an answer if you were to ask in a truck technical forum instead of in a place for introducing yourself to the community?

Do you walk into the Lingerie section of the local Sears store and start asking people about tires and batteries? Probably not; so why do you do it here?
