How often do you guys with stacks start your truck and have beer or softdrink cans come out? I know some trucks I've seen with stacks get soot on them when started after rain. Guess they didn't drill drain holes in the bottom of the pipe.
I personally am not a fan. I've got a nephew with an 89 Dodge with a stack coming out the hood. Been driving it on the street for years. Very loud and obnoxious. That truck gets a bath of soot after every rain storm on startup.
Do what you want, it's your truck. But please, don't be one of those idiots that loves to blow black smoke on the highway.
Man, this thread is starting to look like a PSN or PSA thread with all the anger.
I have seen a few flat beds that had stacks integrated into the head ache rack that were pretty neat. That's the only time I have liked them though. I will say from the trucks I have driven in that had them the cab resonance is unreal... its anything but quiet inside.
Running stacks will coat whatever is in the bed with soot, your camper or trailer if you tow anything, and prevent any in bed camper or topper.
I guess I have a distaSte for them now as it seems every guy running them is usually hot rodding his dodge driving like an a hole and blacking out the highway out here...oh well
My buddies truck with a single stack I liked....
I thought this one looked sharp...
this one not so much....
I have no anger. I posted what I did because I see a lot of post here that has the org. psn psa mentality of (if you don't do what I did or buy what I bought it's not good enough)
Yeah and also the tone in 'smell of my truck' thread. Its not what this forum is all about. The hate, ugly agreements and political crap is just wrong on this forum. Its not what we are all about. It sure shows some people's true color. Its not like Tom to allow it.

Not mad or taking this personal. No need to apologize. Just a conversation on what I/we see but we all know some will be butt hurt when the truth is pointed out.
I ridiculed you ? If so put me in my place and i apologize if I did.
Lol
Not at all, i thought it was you, maybe not..the muffler stack in my bed lol
When I saw the thread title I went to that xyra normal .. My sence of humor may not be so funny to others.. If I or Thomas offended anyone I apologize.. What can I say, I like funny!
You must really hate seeing a truck with a tool box or auxiliary tank.
Quite the opposite. My own truck has a lateral mounted tool box, and for a long time I drove one with an auxiliary tank. Both of those are utilitarian; the truck can still work as designed.
With my tool box mounted, I can still slide many full sheets of plywood into the bed, I can still park an ATV in the bed, and I can still use the full width of the bed and head rack to carry long lumber or other building materials.
Yeah because wanting your stuff to look decent and not stupid makes you a sheep...ok
I'm not always the best at making myself clear with a keyboard.
what I meant was whatever you want to do with your truck for looks do what looks good in your eyes regardless if it is keeping it mostly stock or adding lots of accessories, whichever way you want to go, go for it, be the wolf and don't follow everyone else just because it's cool like a sheep.
