Hello everyone. New here but not to vans. When I was younger my dad had a 94 Ford Mark III Conversion and I just purchased a 96 Ford Tourister E-150 with 127K original miles and the 351w.
I was looking at several things and was wondering why all the discussions regarding beds? Has no body considered or successfully implemented a Stow-Away cot type system?
Side note: Anyone know where we can get replacement interior door panels/pieces?
Anyway, awesome forums and very helpful. Here is my new ride.
Good to see another Conversion Van, I gave up on trying to make a permanent bed at 6'3" and settled on the "Steel Tent" style of camping, I just pull the center seats out and grab my big Coleman cooler/kitchen/table top, a suitcase, propane tank, 5gal water jugs, Laptop, and sleep on the floor with a good bedroll. Most of the gear fits behind the rear bed/seat and you get to have a little living room during the day or when traveling, afterwards the center seats go back in and the Van is back to normal unharmed..................
I built hinged folding beds with high quality plywood. They are removable and storable. I have the standard Club Wagon bench seats. The idea will work on any van.
