Scanner needed...

Hi all I'm interested in obtain some program to get fault codes for my explorer 98' but I'm looking just for some software to be installed in my laptop. Can someone recomend me one?

There's www.autotap.com, but it will cost you more than just buying a handheld scanner.

javi2001 did you ever find the cable and software to connect the truck and laptop for datalogger software? I have been looking for it for my 95 F150 with no luck.
