I also suspect you have a low refridge condition. That would explain the cycling and a plethora of symptoms your describing.
When you drop out of the alps, does it run out normal or only at atmosphere. I've been over the pass and **** can become abnormal at your altitude.

By the way if your dropping out for a run next week. Grab up on an appointment at a rep shop in the plateau. Make time as the interstate is close by and I'm sure they deal with it a lot. Especially the heavy truck shops.
