throttle position sensor

1990 Aerostar Van 4.0
Does the TPS have to go on a certain way or does it go on just the way it came off?

It will only rotate one directon. It is possible to install it so that the tps is not engaged correctly and either doesn't actually move or will jam and not move or break if forced. Otherwise it goes on just like it came off.
